President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has left to Dhuvaafaru island of Raa atoll, where he will be taking part in the ‘national unity’ day cerebrations.

President Solih will also be visiting Kudadhoo island and Hen’badhoo island.

The ‘unity’ day marks the day Maldives’ was struck by the 2004 tsunami that swept through most of the Indian Ocean.

Several cabinet ministers and senior government officials are taking part in the celebration, scheduled for Wednesday evening.
