President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has on Monday, appointed six Deputy Ministers.

President Solih appointed Asad Riza as Deputy Minister of Tourism. Riza has a Masters in Hospitality and Tourism and has had many years of experience in the field.

Fathimath Shaheedha, who was appointed as Deputy Minister of Communication, Science and Technology, has a Bachelor or Information and Technology.

President Solih also appointed Abdulla Anees, who has previously worked in various business companies, as Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

The fourth appointment is Ahmed Ziyaan Abdul Rahman as Deputy Minister of Environment. Ziyaan has a National Diploma in Hotel Catering and Institutional Operations.

Ahmed Ibrahim, who previously served as the Executive Coordinator at the Ministry of Youth and sports as well as a member of the National Sports Council, was appointed as Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

The last appointment is to the post of Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban Development which was filled by Ali Samin, former Journalist, with a Bachelor of Arts.

With these appointments, President Solih has made a total of 48 appointments to the post of Deputy Ministers.
