Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih sends a message of sympathy to Indonesian President, Joko Widodo following the ‘Volcano Tsunami’ that hit Pandeglang, Serang and South Lampung of the country.

While the tsunami was reported to have hit on Saturday, wounding over 700 and killing over 180 individuals, President Solih had conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Indonesian President following the tsunami that hit Pandeglang, Serang and South Lampung.

Noting that “it was with deep sorrow and dismay" that he learnt of the devastating news, the president conveyed condolences from the government and people of Maldives to government "brotherly" people of Indonesia.

The Maldives president also expressed Maldives wish for continues acceleration and efficiency of the recovery operations that are underway.
