A new managing director has been appointed to head the state-run utilities company, FENAKA.
Ahmed Saeed, native to Vaadhoo island of Gaafu Dhaal atoll, was made managing director of the company on Sunday.
The decision was publicized by Mohamed Nazeer, president of the Privatization and Corporations Board.
FENAKA’s previous managing director Mohamed Lamaan, a staunch supporter of former president Abdulla Yameen, resigned shortly after his defeat at the ballot box this September.
