The Male' City council will change the name on Tuesday
Sultan Park was revamped and rebranded into Rasrani Bageecha by former President Yameen in August 2017
Male’ City council has decided to rename Rasrani Bageecha back to Sultan Park.
In a tweet on Friday, Male’ City mayor Shifa Mohamed said they will change the name at the council meeting on Tuesday.
Sultan Park was opened in November 1968 on the former grounds of the royal palace after the monarchy was abolished and was renovated and rebranded into Rasrani Bageecha by former President Abdulla Yameen in August 2017.
