Residents of two households affected by Wednesday’s flooding in capital city Malé have been given temporary shelter.
The National Disaster Management Center (NDMC) said that the families were given shelter at a guest house in capital city Malé. The center said that the state will be paying for their living expenses until they can return to their homes.
The two households comprise of 10 adults and eight children.
Heavy showers in capital city Malé on Wednesday had flooded streets, pouring into homes and businesses and damaging property.
