Former President and leader of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed has met with UN Peace and Development Advisor Mr Ferdinand Von Habsburg-Lothringen on Thursday afternoon.
RaajjeMV understands that the meeting took place in the MDP’s head office and discussions were held in areas of cooperation as well as the way forward in restoring democracy and human rights in the Maldives.

The meeting was also joined by party Chairperson Hassan Latheef, as well as other senior officials of the leadership of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Moreover, Nasheed had also met with party members of the Addu City Council and some members of South-Fuvahmulah and Thaa atoll Vilufushi islands.
RaajjeMV also understands that the former President had accepted the membership forms of new members from Komandoo and Milandhoo islands in Shaviyani atoll.
On Thursday, the former opposition party had also held an unofficial meeting of its national congress, however, MDP had not disclosed details of the discussions held in the congress meeting.
