Guest House Association of the Maldives has expressed hopes that the incoming government of President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will bring desirable progression to the Guest House profession.
The association had held a special ceremony to congratulate the President-elect at Rehendhi School on Saturday night.
Nasheed, Naseem and Solih were awarded commemorative plaques at the ceremony which was joined by many individuals working in the Guest House profession, as well as Vice President-elect Faisal Naseem, former President Mohamed Nasheed and members of the joint opposition coalition.
Speaking at ceremony, President of the Guest House Association, Ahmed Karam asserted his assurance that desirable growth will be brought to the business during the incoming administration of Solih. As such, he highlighted that such pledges have been included in the joint opposition coalition’s manifesto before the Presidential elections held in September.
Karam stressed that the biggest obstacle they face in the business is difficulty in attaining financial support. However, Solih has pledged to provide solutions to these issues during his administration.
“This ceremony was held to celebrate Solih’s ‘Jazeera Manifesto’ which assures progress to the Guest House business in the Maldives” said Karam.
