All suspects in Addu City gang assault released
10 suspects were ordered to be released by the Criminal Court

All suspects arrested over the gang assault in Addu City’s Maradhoo on October 6 have been released.
The police media officer said that the 10 suspects were ordered to be released by the Criminal Court and that they have now filed for an appeal.
22-year-old Mohamed Evaan was stabbed in the back, head, and neck and had also sustained injuries to his lungs during the assault. His family told RaajjeMV that he is still in serious condition and is being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital’s intensive care unit.
Police earlier reported that they had arrested a 17-year-old as he arrived in Hulhumeedhoo and five men hiding inside a house in Feydhoo. In total, the police had taken into custody two 17-year-olds, one 18-year-old, one 22-year-old, and one 21-year-old.
