President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be celebrating his election win in Faadhippolhu Atoll on Friday night.
Solih will be joining the celebrations with vice-president-elect Faisal Naseem at 8:30pm.
The opposition coalition has invited all Faadhippolhu residents to join the celebrations at the beach near Hulhumale’ UI Hotel.
After the initial feast, attendants will be given the opportunity to take photos with the president-elect.
Faadhippolhu Atoll consists of Solih’s native island of Hinnavaru as well as Naifaru, Olhuveli, and Kurendhoo.
Solih and the opposition coalition have been celebrating across the Maldives since their win on the September 23 election.
Solih won with an overwhelming 134,705 votes or 58.4% compared to President Abdulla Yameen, who received 96,052 votes or 41.6%.
