A senior MPL employee told RaajjeMV that Soodha has been given permission to work in President Abdulla Yameen’s campaign team since July and that she has received her salary for the last three months.
The employee added that 50 other MPL employees had also been given leave to join the President’s campaign.
Soodha was also seen at the ruling party’s protest calling to nullify the presidential election result after President Yameen refused to accept his devastating loss.
She has not answered RaajjeMV’s phone calls.
RaajjeMV understands that numerous employees from other government branches were also granted leave with pay to work in President Yameen’s campaign and that the Housing Development Corporation is to be audited because of similar allegations of corruption.
