A Supreme Court justice presiding over the ongoing case filed by incumbent President Abdulla Yameen seeking annulment of September’s electoral results had worked on his campaign, claims MP Hussain Saud.
Speaking to Raajje Television, Saud said that Supreme Court justice had keenly worked on President Yameen’s bid for re-election and a staunch supporter of his.
The Villingili constituency representative said that the justice had been part of the ruling party’s canvasing activities and that a number of people from the region can testify to this.
“There are a 1,000 people who can attest to this, who saw him go from house to house and advocate for President Yameen”, Saud said.
While Saud had not named the justice, he said that the adjudicator is on the bench presiding over Yameen’s case seeking annulment of the electoral results.
