Health Ministry to host mental health awareness event on Friday
The event will be held at the social center in capital city Malé
The event is to be held in commemoration of World Mental Health Day 2018, and the theme ‘young people and mental health in a changing world\'
The Maldivian Ministry of Health will be hosting an event on Friday to raise awareness about mental health issues, in collaboration with local non-profit organizations.
In commemoration of the World Mental Health Day 2018 and in line with this year’s theme of ‘young people and mental health in a changing world’, the event will be focused on the youth.
The event will be held at the social center in capital city Malé, and will begin at 16:00 and go on until 22:00. A two-hour break for prayers is scheduled between 18:00 and 20:00.
Some of the activities at this event include launching sky lanterns, colour fights, and open discussions about mental health issues in the Maldives.
