Thousands stolen from Hoarafushi home, police arrest three suspects

The police have recovered MVR 63,500 (about MVR 4,124) of the stolen money
Thousands of rufiyaa was stolen from a home in Hoarafushi island of Haa Alif atoll.
The incident occured on 4th October and residents reported that a total of MVR 111,000 (about USD 7,210) was stolen from a cupboard at the home.
The police have on Tuesday arrested a third suspect in the case, a 35-year-old male. Two suspects, aged 28 and 34, were arrested on October 6th.
The police have recovered a total of MVR 63,500 (about MVR 4,124) from the two suspects arrested earlier. The police are further investigating the case.
The regional magistrate court for Haa Alif atoll has remanded the two suspects for 15 days.
