President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that his true colors will be seen after September's polls.

With a little over a week left for election day, President Yameen told residents of Hulhumeedhoo island of Addu City that he is often asked to show his “human features”.

As such, the President said that his true colors will be seen after being elected for a second term.

“Some people ask me to show my human features because my speeches at gatherings are rather strong. My true human self is that I am the president leading the Maldivian citizens into the horizon of development with peace and serenity....The people will not see my true self until we emerge victorious in September's polls," said President Yameen.

The President had gone on to assure citizens that his true colors still make him human. President Yameen claimed that he is a leader who is working for the betterment of the nation along with the citizens, and that citizens need to vote for him because he is the only leader who can fulfil the wishes of citizens.
