President Abdulla Yameen has on Saturday morning, departed to Laamu atoll as part of his campaign tour across five islands of the atoll ahead of this month's Presidential Election.

The President arrived in Kadhdhoo airport in Laamu atoll on Saturday morning.

RaajjeMV understands that President Yameen will be inaugurating some development projects across the islands during this campaign tour. As such, the President will be travelling to Hithadhoo, Gan and Maabaidhoo islands to inaugurate the newly developed harbors there. He will also be inaugurating the sewerage system established in Maamendhoo island.

In addition, the President will also be visiting Hadhdhunmathi and inaugurating the main road in the island, as well as opening the water plant established in the island.
