Main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s campaign site in Addu City’s Meedhoo has been destroyed in an arson attack.
The ‘Hithadhoo Advance’ site was destroyed beyond use early Wednesday morning.
The campaign site was in a residential area, and while nearby houses incurred some damage, no one was hurt in the incident.
While no one has been arrested yet, Rozaina Adam, the constituency’s MP, accused the ruling party for the attack.
