Opposition vice-presidential candidate returns concludes trip to India
'Will bring a convenient solution to the issue of attaining visas'

Joint Opposition coalition’s vice-presidential candidate Faisal Naseem has on Monday returned to Maldives after concluding his two-day campaign trip to neighboring India.
Speaking to media after arriving back in the capital city Male’, Naseem stated that a unity government led by the coalition’s Presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, will revive the bonds between both countries which have soured of late.
Highlighting that the biggest issue faced by Maldivian residents living in India is the difficulty they face in attaining dependent visas and not being able to receive national medical insurance Aasandha services for medical treatment in Trivandrum.
Naseem went on to pledge that Solih will bring a solution to these major issues Maldivians residing in India face, during his tenure.
The opposition running mate was accompanied by senior officials of the Maldives Joint Opposition, including main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s deputy chairperson Ali Niyaz, Jumhooree Party’s vice president Dr. Abdulla Mausoom as well as Aminath Nadhira from the Maumoon Reform Movement (MRM), created by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s break-away faction of ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM).
Naseem and team also conducted door-to-door campaign activities in Trivandrum to check on the living conditions of Maldivian residents and visited the opposition coalition’s campaign site to meet with campaign coordinators as well.
