Hajj Pilgrimage 1439
All Maldivian pilgrims safe and well
A total of 1,400 Maldivians traveled to Saudi Arabia to take part in annual Hajj pilgrimage

All Maldivian pilgrims that traveled through the Hajj Corporations are safe and well, says board member and deputy minister at the Islamic Ministry Ali Waheed.

Noting that one of the pilgrims had suffered from fatigue and was admitted at hospital, Waheed told RaajjeMV that the individual's condition has since improved and has been discharged from hospital.

While a total of 1,400 Maldivians traveled to Saudi Arabia to take part in annual Hajj pilgrimage- one of the five pillars of Islam- a thousand traveled with the state-owned Maldives Hajj Corporation. The other agencies are; Sisilfaru, Al-Haramain, Thazkiyaa and Zaee.

RaajjeMV understands that the pilgrims that traveled with the other agencies are in good health as well.

Waheed said that all pilgrims under Hajj Corporation will head back to Mecca after completing the stone-throwing ritual at Mina.
