These electoral representatives will be allowed to sit in alongside observers and monitors at various polling stations. Each candidate can place one representative per polling station.

Representatives cannot be an individual employed at a state institution or a court judge. Nor can they be an officers of law enforcement.

Representatives must apply through a form, that is to be a filed at the commission. All candidates have been asked to provide a statement detailing the number of representatives they wish to have.

The presidential elections are set for 23rd September, and incumbent president Abdulla Yameen is seeking reelection while his coalition of opponents have fielded longstanding lawmaker, MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for presidency.
