Opposition coalition’s Presidential hopeful Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has visited some households in the capital Male' City including Villimale' district on Saturday.
While Solih visited some households in the Henveiru-ward of the city to check on the living conditions of residents, they had shared their main concerns and hardships with him.
Solih had visited some households in the capital’s suburbs, Villimalé’ in the afternoon, as well as the main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s campaign site in the island to partake in an afternoon tea hosted at the site, where Solih had also met with some of the coalition’s supporters as well as locals.
Locals had shared their opinions, as well as concerns with the opposition candidate during his visit to Villimalé.
While Solih had previously visited some households in the capital city and its suburban extensions Hulhumale’ and Villimalé’ as part of his nation-wide campaign tour for the fast-approaching Presidential election slated for 23rd September, campaign activities from both the opposition coalition and ruling party are proceeding full steam ahead, with Solih and President Abdulla Yameen, vying for re-election, having visited several islands in the outlying atolls.
