Although RaajjeMV was unable to contact the police service, the news outlet understands that their phones have also been confiscated and that they were arrested following an order from the Kulhudhuffushi Magistrate Court on Wednesday night.
The court order states that the suspects have been alleged to be in possession of materials used for sorcery, which are being used to help guarantee a win for the main opposition party in September’s presidential election. The order also instructed the police to confiscate all the items used for sorcery, which includes a pen drive.
