Government looking for contractors to decorate China-Maldives bridge for weddings

The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has announced a bid for contractors to decorate the Sinamalé Bridge, known commonly as the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, for weddings.

The ministry said in an announcement on Tuesday that the contractors will have to develop backdrops for weddings and make decorations as per a total of six themes provided.

Interested parties should apply by 19th August before 1:30pm. The ministry will conduct a session to give more information about the matter at 2:00pm on 16th August.

The government has launched a program under which decoration, photography, and catering services on the bridge are funded by the state.
