Joint Opposition presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has returned to capital city Male’ on Tuesday after concluding his trip to Haa Dhaalu atoll.
Solih began his three-day trip to the atoll on Sunday.
This was his first trip to Haa Dhaalu since being elected as the presidential candidate of the opposition coalition parties.
On Sunday, Solih visited Nolhivaranfaru, Hirimaradhoo, Nellaidhoo, Naivaadhoo, and Makunudhoo. On Monday, he travelled to Neykurendhoo, Vaikaradhoo, Kumundoo, Kurimbi, and Kulhudhuffushi. On Tuesday, he had gone to Nolhivaram, Finey, and Hanimaadhoo.
Solih and his campaign team were enthusiastically received in every island.
During his tour, Solih met with island residents and disclosed the Joint Opposition’s plans for the atolls during their administration. He also opened campaign sites at some of the islands and visited some important locations.
He was accompanied by Joint Opposition MPs, and senior party members.
His running mate Faisal Naseem has also returned to Male’ after concluding his trip to Lhaviyani atoll.
