Joint Opposition presidential candidate’s running mate Faisal Naseem has called on the Elections Commission (EC) to work within legal boundaries.
Speaking at the opposition’s rally in Lh. Kurendhoo on Friday, Faisal warned that when looking at past events it was obvious that the current political situation is bound to change.
He called on state officials to refrain from working unlawfully to promote a particular group or else risk being investigated in the future, whether they be members of the Elections Commission or Broadcasting Commission.
Faisal said that the citizens want justice and a community in which their families can live peacefully.
