Disabled people should be allowed to cast vote with the help of whoever they choose, says South-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof.
In a tweet on Friday, the lawmaker called on the Elections Commission (EC) to reverse their decision to only allow EC officials at the polling stations to cast the vote on the behalf of disabled people.
He also tagged the EC’s twitter handle in his post.

He said this in response to EC spokesperson Ahmed Akram’s announcement that they have made some legal changes to only allow officials at polling stations to help people with special needs on casting their vote.
However, in previous elections disabled persons were allowed to use the help of whoever they wished to cast their vote.
