A team from Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has begun work to strengthen the campaign activities for the presidential election slated for September.

The campaign team, led by Laamu atoll coordinator Dr. Musthafa Luthfee, arrived in Laamu atoll on Monday to compile a framework to further strengthen their campaign activities.

Coordinator Dr. Luthfee and the team are meeting with campaign teams as well as conducting door-to-door campaign activities in various regions of Laamu atoll.

The team is to visit Gan, Mundoo, Dhanbidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Maavah, Maamendhoo, Fonadhoo, Isdhoo, as well as Kalaidhoo in Laamu atoll. Special activities are being held by island residents as well, especially MDP members in Gan island to prepare for the election on September 23.
