President appoints two new deputies at Ministry of Economic Development

Ahmed Shafeeq
President Abdulla Yameen has made two appointments to the post of Deputy Ministers at the Ministry of Economic Development, Ahmed Shafeeq as Deputy Minister and Dr. Mohamed Shaafiee as Health Deputy.
Shafeeq served as a member of the People’s Special Majlis as well as a frontrunner in the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) when it was formed in 2005. He was appointed to the post of Deputy Minister on Thursday.
