A second accident took place in Addu City on Wednesday night, hours after one that left two injured.

The accident took place near the causeway connecting Feydhoo and Maradhoo-Feydhoo districts, reportedly after a man speeding on a motorcycle lost control of the vehicle. He is reported to have hit a pillar on the side of the road.

The man was riding solo and was taken to Hithadhoo Regional Hospital for treatment immediately. While the hospital has confirmed that a man was brought in with injuries following an accident, they refused to reveal any further details.

Two women were injured in an accident when a motorcycle collided with a car at around 4pm; a 17-year-old and 24-year-old.
