The program will teach officers defence, guarding, and arrest tactics
15 officers of the Maldives Police Service have left to Thailand for training ahead of the upcoming presidential elections.
The training program will take place from July 1st to the July 7th and are undertaking sessions on maintaing security at and around polling stations.
The program will teach officers defence, guarding, and arrest tactics so as to protect themselves, make arrests, and protect VIPs.
Officers will also undergo awareness training on electoral regulations and laws.
