Government contracts developers for water management systems in Nilandhoo and Mathiveri

The system to be built in Mathiveri costs  13.6 million

The Ministry of Environment and Energy has hired contractors to develop water management systems in Nilandhoo of Faafu atoll and Mathiveri island of Alif Alif atoll.

The contracts were given to Sri Lankan construction company Edward and Christie. Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim and Managing Director Christie Arawwala signed the agreement.

While the agreement was signed during an event on Thursday, the contract is to be complete and the projects undertaken fully within 12 months.

The water management system to be built in Nilandhoo costs MVR 16.7 million and the system to be built in Mathiveri costs 13.6 million.
