Environment Ministry contracts developers for drainage system in Feydhoo
The project will see the establishing of a ‘storm water’ management network
The total cost of the project is in excess of MVR 18.6 million

The Ministry of Environment and Energy has contracted Sri Lanka’s Senok Trade Combine Pvt. Ltd. to develop a drainage system in Feydhoo district of Addu City.

The contract was officially signed between Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim and the Colombo-based company’s senior accountant Prabath Ruwanpura in an event on Wednesday.

The project will see the establishing of a ‘storm water’ management network as well, that is aimed at tackling flooding during heavy showers – a key issue in Feydhoo.

The total cost of the project is in excess of MVR 18.6 million.
