Government-run State Trading Organization (STO) has increased the prices of diesel and petrol.
According to a notice publicized by the organization, they had decided to hike fuel prices following a rise in fuel prices in the international market.
Price of diesel rose up by 41 laari while petrol prices rose up by 35 laari.
As such, effective from the 24th of May, a liter of diesel will be available for MVR 11.13 and a liter of petrol will cost MVR 10.77.
STO had three weeks prior inflated prices of diesel and petrol by 31 laari as well.
