Former President Mohamed Nasheed has met with Maldivians resident in the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka.
The meeting was held along with a pre-Ramadan feast, or ‘Maahefun’ as it is known customarily, hosted by supporters of Nasheed’s party.
Nasheed has launched his campaign for the Maldivian Democratic Party's presidential primary elections, ballots for which are slated for May 30th.
Nasheed launched his campaign on Friday and has adopted a strategy of ‘blue economy’ sustainable development.
