Ministry of Economic Affairs has announced that shops have been authorized to be kept open till 11pm during Ramadan starting from the 11th of May, Friday.
The Ministry additionally gave permit for restaurants and cafe's to be kept open from dusk till 3am from the first day of approaching Holy month of Ramadan till the 07th day of the month of Shawwal, the tenth month of the lunar Islamic calendar.
Just like the previous years, timings changes have been brought to several business outlets including shops, cafe's and restaurants this year as well. While petrol sheds are being kept open for service until 12am, cafe's and restaurants had recently been permitted to be kept open until 1am by the ministry.
While the ministry has permitted shops to be kept open till 11pm during Ramadan, the ministry had withdrawn their permit to keep 24-hour shops open following the increase of crime, and is currently making procedures under which 24-hour shops can operate anew.
