The Maldives Judiciary has published an unofficial translation of the recent Supreme Court order to release opposition leaders and nullify the dismissal of opposition MPs.
The judiciary published the translation on its official Twitter account on Friday.

As per the court order, the relevant authorities are to release these politicians:
- Former President Mohamed Nasheed,
- Former defence minister Mohamed Nazim,
- Adhaalath Party (AP) leader Imran Abdulla,
- Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb,
- Former Prosecutor General Muhuthaz Muhsin,
- Jumhoree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim,
- MP Faris Maumoon,
- Former Judge Ahmed Nihan,
- Businessman Hamid Ismail.
The Supreme Court also ruled to nullify the Elections Commission (EC)’s decision to dismiss 12 opposition lawmakers from their parliament seats.
While Thursday’s order emphasized that it should be implemented immediately, relevant authorities have yet to make any significant moves.
