Best option for AG Anil is to resign now: ex-Pres. Nasheed

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that the best option for Attorney General Mohamed Anil to resign, effective immediately.

In an exclusive to RaajjeTV the former President said that the Supreme Court verdict was very clear, thorough and called on all citizens to remain united.

President Nasheed said that Attorney General’s statements that they were reviewing the verdict, was in defiance of the Court’s verdict and called on Anil to resign.

President Nasheed said it was imperative that citizens remain on the streets and united.

The former President also questioned why President Abdullah Yameen had sought a dialogue with the now-dismissed Commissioner of Police. He criticized this, stating that this was done so for political means.
