Ahmed Nihan, Judge of Maamigili Magistrate Court, was transferred back to jail after completing medical treatment and tests. 

Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) media official reported that various media sources had reported that Judge Nihan was in a serious condition. Media official denied reports to that nature, adding that tests were done on the Judge after he had complained of several issues. 

However, he did not comment on the nature of condition, citing confidentiality. 

The Judge, sentenced to 17 years for procuring a court order to arrest President Abdullah Yameen was rushed to IGMH at around 1930 hrs on Monday.

Judge Nihan was sentenced to 17 years on June 10th by Criminal Court.
