SriLankan Airlines has denied that the Airlines is running a social media promotion where free tickets are issued.
The said promotion quizzes participants on three questions. As per messages on social media, the promotion is run to mark 40 years to the operation of the Airlines.
The official twitter account for SriLankan Airlines stated that the promotion was ‘not a SriLankan Airlines promotion’ and that the ‘Airline will not take any responsibility with regard to this unofficial promotion’.
Airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates and Fly Dubai have also been victims of such scams.
