Pres. Yameen not ready to allow an election, likely that citizens will have to act: MP Mahloof
Will work tirelessly for an election
Govt. planned to change electoral laws
Attorney General plans to send bill in first session

Galolhu South Constituency MP Ahmed Mahloof says that President Abdullha Yameen will never give room to hold a free and fair election.

In a tweet posted from Sri Lanka, the Parliamentarian said that it was likely that the citizens will have to take direct action to change this regime.

The tweet came at a time when Attorney General Mohamed Anil had announced changes to electoral laws, which are to be implemented before the elections later this year.

Speaking in Public Service Media (PSM), the Attorney General said that changes were planned for the laws on Parliament, general elections and Presidential elections. The amendments will be submitted to Parliament once the first session of the Parliament begins.
