Etihad Airways is to increase flights to the Maldives.

The airlines reports that additional four flights will be added in summer next year, which will increase the number of flights to 11.

The additional flights will begin on June 15, 2018, which will take place on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Since operations began in 2011, over half a million passengers had arrived in the Maldives via Etihad Airways.

Number of tourists from United Arab Emirates to the Maldives had increased by 35 percent in the past 12 months.
