Economic Ministry holds SME finance forum in Haa Dhaal Atoll

The Economic Ministry has held its third regional finance forum for small and medium-sized enterprises in Haa Dhaal Atoll.
The one-day forum acts as a platform for businesses in the country to present advancements and other opportunities for expansion. Businesses can also ‘showcase their financial products and schemes’.
“SMEs also had a platform to forward their queries and get clarification on issues from the financial institutions, in the networking session that will take place during the afternoon session of today’s forum” a statement from the ministry said.
Further, the Maldives Monetary Authority, Bank of Maldives, and the Maldives Islamic Bank, had presented ways in which they could financially contribute to the development of local businesses.
The regional forums are part of the ministry’s enterprise development initiative and is carried out in association with the Business Center (BC), which has branches in six different regions of the country.
The ministry’s first regional forum was held southernmost Addu City’s Gan, and businesses from all parts of the city as well as neighbouring Fuvahmulah had joined.
