The car ablaze: the case is under investigation
A car on Janavaree magu has been set ablaze.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said the case was reported at around 03.03am and that a team was dispatched to the area. The fire was extinguished at around 03.13am.
An eyewitness reported that the car had a ‘G’ plate on it, signifying it belonged to a state official.
MNDF had also confirmed the car belonged to the state. No injuries were reported. The case is under investigation. MNDF added that back seats of the car were completely burnt down with the windows completely shattered.
Burnt rags were discovered in the vicinity as well.
