Government Says Measures Implemented to Address Supply Shortages Amid Middle East Conflict

The government has announced that solutions have been implemented to address the supply shortages caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The President's Office made these remarks while sharing details regarding a cabinet working session held on Tuesday. The meeting focused on providing progress updates on government development projects and discussing strategies to accelerate their implementation.
According to the President's Office, the meeting involved extensive discussions between Cabinet ministers and heads of state-owned enterprises. During the session, updates were shared regarding the President's electoral pledges and the progress of ongoing development projects across all islands of the Maldives.
The President's Office further stated that the President has instructed the Cabinet to expedite numerous stalled projects, following the implementation of solutions to address supply chain disruptions caused by the ongoing unrest in the Middle East.
Furthermore, the President's Office noted that the President urged all parties to work with renewed vigor and cooperation to ensure that individual projects are completed within their designated timelines.
In recent days, the government has repeatedly cited the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as a justification for rising commodity prices and the stagnation of various development projects. However, the President's Office has now announced that the President has ordered projects to proceed at full speed, stating that the supply chain disruptions caused by the Middle East unrest have been successfully resolved.
