While no injuries were reported in the incident, the blaze caused damage to the building's plumbing system and various stored items, prompting an ongoing investigation by the police.

Police have reported that a fire on the ground floor of the Amaan Udhares building in Hulhumale' Phase 2 caused damage to property and the building's plumbing system.
In a message shared with the media, the police stated that they received a report at approximately 6:40 PM on October 2, 2026, regarding a fire in the warehouse of a shop under construction on the ground floor of Udhares Tower 5 in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
While the Fire and Rescue Service has successfully extinguished the blaze, police confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident. However, authorities noted that the fire caused damage to property on the premises as well as the building's plumbing system.
Regarding the matter, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) stated that their team is currently working to repair several water pipes within the tower that were damaged during the incident.
Consequently, the company stated that water and electricity services will be interrupted for several units in the tower until the maintenance work is completed. FDC further noted that services will be restored once the repairs are finalized.
A local resident informed RaajjeMV that the fire originated from a pile of waste on the ground floor. The source further noted that due to the fire, residents of the 17th floor were forced to evacuate using the stairs.
Police have stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
