RaajjeTV is still ‘routinely attacked’ four years to arson attack: ex-Pres. Nasheed

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has lamented that justice still has not been found for the arson attack on RaajjeTV which occurred four years ago. He made the statement in a tweet posted on Saturday.

RaajjeTV offices in H. Queen of the Night building were torched in the early hours of 7th October 2013. The station and its journalists continue to face attacks, both physical and in the form of penalties under the highly restrictive Defamation Bill. All threats to the station and journalists had been routinely reported to the relevant authorities, to no avail.
