Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the charges brought by the state against the Mayor of Thinadhoo Saud Ali, are politically motivated and that such legal actions will not hinder the development of Thinadhoo.
He made these remarks in a post on X, expressing concern over the state’s decision to file charges against the Mayor of Thinadhoo Saud.
Solih noted that the charges brought against Mayor Saud are baseless and fabricated solely to achieve political objectives and protect the personal interests of specific individuals. He further characterized the move as an uncivilized act driven by blatant personal vendetta and the exercise of political influence.
However, Solih gave his assurance that such baseless allegations and political harassment would not hinder the invaluable services Mayor Saud continues to provide to the beloved citizens of Thinadhoo, nor would they obstruct his tireless efforts toward the city's development.
He asserted that stripping the people of their power and exerting such pressure on elected officials is entirely unacceptable.
