Hamdhan Shakeel, the Managing Director of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC), has announced that discussions are underway to implement additional safety measures for residents of the Aman Udhares and Aman Dhoadhi housing units.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Hamdhan stated that security measures will prioritize units housing children and persons with disabilities. Hamdhan further noted that the decision has been made to implement enhanced security measures across all housing units in the future.
Hamdhan stated that these security measures are being implemented under the guidance of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The decision to implement enhanced safety measures at the towers follows a recent incident where a 16-year-old sustained various injuries after falling from the Amaan Udhares tower. Furthermore, a tragic incident occurred at the STELCO flats recently, where a two-year-old toddler lost their life after falling from the building.
