The M. Mulah Island Council has expressed deep concern over the ongoing delays in the island's road construction project.
The Mulah Island Council has informed RaajjeTV that road development projects have stalled, despite President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge during his visit last September to complete the asphalt paving within four months.
According to information shared by the Mulah Island Council with RaajjeTV, this project was initiated in 2021 under the previous administration. The council noted that significant progress had been made by the end of that term, including the installation of pavements and the laying of pipes across most of the island's roads.
The council noted that although work was progressing to some extent during the government transition, the project has since slowed down significantly and is currently proceeding at a very sluggish pace.
