Concerns are mounting among former Fenaka Corporation employees over the company's failure to pay a promised four-month salary redundancy package to those who voluntarily resigned under its downsizing program. Affected individuals report that the ongoing delays are causing significant financial hardship for their families, while the company's human resources department has come under fire for failing to provide clear information or accountability regarding the missing payments.

Employees at Fenaka Corporation have begun expressing concern over unpaid severance packages, after the company failed to deliver on a promise to provide four months' salary to those who voluntarily resigned.

In an internal memo sent to staff, Fenaka Corporation announced that employees who choose to resign voluntarily will be eligible for a four-month salary payout. Following the invitation for interested staff to apply for this voluntary redundancy package, several employees have already submitted their requests to leave the company.

However, complaints have escalated regarding the non-payment of the four-month salary package promised to dismissed employees. A resident of M. Naalaafushi also highlighted this issue during an interview on RaajjeTV’s "Haalu Kihineh" program.

An employee who served at Fenaka Corporation for over two years stated that they resigned after the company offered a voluntary redundancy package including four months' salary. However, the individual noted that Fenaka has failed to issue the promised payment following their departure. The former employee further revealed that the company’s Human Resources department is no longer responding to their inquiries regarding the outstanding funds.

Furthermore, he emphasized that such actions by a government agency are unacceptable, describing the matter as a significant deception.

Employees who spoke with RaajjeTV highlighted that the ongoing salary delays are causing significant hardship for numerous families. Consequently, the staff have appealed for the urgent disbursement of the funds they were promised.

Fenaka Corporation is currently implementing a staff reduction program, citing a monthly expenditure of approximately MVR 90 million on employee salaries alone. However, numerous individuals are expressing grievances as the disbursement of mandatory benefits and entitlements for those departing under this program continues to face prolonged delays.
